To determine the ideal size for your compost bin, keep in mind that you'll need to account for additional space for posts as well as the boards. This will ensure a sturdy structure that can handle your composting adventures with ease. 

For a single bin or bed, all you have to do is add 100mm to the bay width. Let's say your bay is 1400mm wide. To calculate the total width, simply add 100mm, resulting in 1500mm (1400 + 100). 

If you're planning a double bin or bed, the process remains straightforward. Add 125mm to the bay width for the ideal fit. For example, if both Bay 1 and Bay 2 are 800mm wide, the total width should be 1725mm (800 + 800 + 125). 

Lastly, for those considering a triple bin or bed, you'll want to add 150mm to the bay width. For instance, if Bay 1, Bay 2, and Bay 3 are all 800mm wide, the total width would be 2550mm (800 + 800 + 800 + 150). 📏
